Ian Crane is a high school music teacher and performer. He teaches choir and band at Holy Name High School in Parma Hts., and previously spent five years on faculty at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, as instructor of bagpipes. He has performed with many local groups, including Apollo’s Fire, both as a vocalist and instrumentalist, and Quire Cleveland. Ian has had the good luck to perform at the Smithsonian Folk Life Festival and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Ian earned a bachelor’s degree in music education from Cleveland State University and his master’s in conducting from Kent State University. He resides in Lakewood, with his wife, Tricia, and children, Phoebe and Alexander.
